New Love

06 Nov

New love like fine wine
Glass only seen as half full
Fill me up again and again
Intoxicate me, leave me drunk.

Remember the first words we spoke
Between us, the first joke we shared
To just stoke up a retort
I said “my love is in recess”.
Yet with tenderness like meat
Boiled to suit the delicateness
Of a princess you replied to me
In trueness “It will grow, let it grow”.

I remember our first touch
The feel as our lips crushed
As your fingers explored
The burst of emotions outpoured
The weightlessness like one
Floating through a cloud called
Pleasantness. Wanting to stop
Wishing to go on forever.

Our love like new wine
Will only get sweeter with time
Bestowed on it maturity of the clime
Anchored on blessings divine

Does wine get sweeter with time? Ehn? Funny I think love starts out as alcoholic and intoxicating and then comes to be sweet and normal just like new wince. A bit like the reverse of the fermentation process. But that’s just my interpretation of this.

Well, depends on what sweet means. Sweet like sugar, sweet like bitterleaf, sweet like better, sweet like more mature. But you know how poetry is….to each his own interpretation.
P.s. Good to see you after a long break.

Lol. Fingers are always exploring. They go up the thighs, they trace the face, the lips….Fingers are great explorers :p
