We started off as friends
Then we moved on to good friends
And then something more than friends
We tarried
Willing ourselves to do more
Acting upon a hope that we can be more
And then moving on to becoming more
We became lovers
Stage One

Everyday was a new discovery
Two hearts on a voyage of discovery
Learning, like on the channel discovery
Time hurried
The hours in the day were never enough
Times we spent together were never enough
Things we learnt, sadly never enough
We drifted
Stage Two

Right ahead of us the forked road
To go left or right, decide which road
To take, we can’t create a middle road
We are plagued
Emotional carryovers
Sentimental deficits
Accounts in the red
We parted

At the end, love is never enough.

the lanes and roads we walk in life! the last line is strong, and yet one can say that love always suffices!

    Deep words……

I couldn’t agree more @Noel Ihebuzor…..and yet one can say that love always suffices!

    What is LOVE anyway?
